Mike Thanks for the compliment and the comment. No worries on equipment here. That would just complicate my life :-)
I switched from the 7w bulb to a 25w bulb with cardboard over it and I poke a hole through it to make my own aperture. That's about as fancy as I'm gonna get B-)
Vaughn, looks like the final print will be a real stunner. Hope I get to see it in full textured glory some day.

Thanks, Sly, Jim. There is a bit of yellow showing up in the scan -- not on the print. Just poured some more tissue last night for another attempt at printing it.
Since a trip to Joshua Tree and Death Valley in Feb. 2011, I have been attracted to large areas of dark tones and light tones compositionally.
Here's a negative that I shot Saturday afternoon, developed at 6am Sunday, and printed as a Gold-toned Vandyke Labor Day morning:
