beseler press camera?

Hello.

I have found a Beseler 5x4 Press camera in a local shop. Are these any good? The re is no lens and the focal plane shutter does not appear to work - it appears t o be electrically operated - is that right? The front panel has good movements & the bellows are in good order. The rangefi nder half works. The camera has a lot of darkslides with it, and a large fiberbo ard (green) case. Might it be ex-military?

I have one of these too. No shutter curtain, though. Have you still got yours?
