    Epson 4990

    Hello All,
Have friend willing to sell me his Epson 4990 in unused condition. What would be a good price to offer him? It seems like he is willing to give it away for next to nothing but i would like to be fair.

    APRIL FOOL!

You're correct $201.58 is the correct price to pay for an Epson 4990 in unused condition.

At least that's close to the price I paid the Epson Store for a refurbished one. Sold it for nearly the same price i paid for it.

I would say more like $150... Unlike a refurbished scanner, you get no warranty with a used scanner. And there have been some extremely crazy deals for refurbished 4990 / V750s, etc, lately...

I've never seen one that sold for less than $200, used or refurbished.

Epson stands behind their products and has an extensive network for servicing their scanners.

A 4990, unused and still in the original box, is worth $200.

I was thinking in the $150 range. He sounded like he wanted very little if anything for it.
    Thanks for the help

If I were offered a 4990 for $150 I would be all over it.

    37,50 euros.

I bought an used Heidelberg for 150 euros, which is at least four times as good, so a simple calculation does the trick.
