I screw permanently a cable release to each of my lenses, so I don't loose time in the field looking for them and fiddling with cold fingers while the light is changing. For storage and transport, the cable is wrapped around the front part of the lens barrel and sh utter. The lens is tightly stored in a padded compartment or cell. The problem I am having is that with the #1 shutters, this tends to bend the cable releases (I have small Technika boards), so that I have to replace them every couple of years or so. A relatively small expense, but annoying. Is there any better solution ?
