Leland, I used Astia for this photo. Even though there was soft early morning light, there was a wide range of zones. So I choose Astia for its latitude over Velvia and Kodak 100VS (the transparency films I was using at the time.)
When I print this photo I crop a little off the top and bottom.

vinny, great composition and format choice. Interesting sense of direction and scale with this one.

Really nice one Thad. I love the colors, it feels "western". Being an easterner (and an enjoyer of woods and water), I enjoy seeing the woods and water scenes of the west and northwest states.

Thad, I'd love to set up camp right there and stay for a few days.
    Thanks for the picture.

Tom, some believe and I agree, that to know a place you need to throw your sleeping bag out on the ground and camp there!

Chassis, being from the east, I miss the eastern woods. But, the Rocky Mountain area, in the arid parts offer such great vantage points to fabulous landscape.
    Thanks

Thad, interesting comment about missing the eastern woods. I guess we all want what we don't have...myself included.
