Sounds all very subtle; I still find it difficult to judge what I'm doing on the ground glass. I looked through a prism finder on a Sinar once and I am more and more inclining towards acquiring one as it makes composing so much easier.

All my friends say the same about composing on the glass. Of course, they all think film is too much work! For me, though, the ground glass just works, as I can get in close to check the focus, and pull back to check the composition. I have a hard time manually focusing my smaller cameras because of my vision, so bigger is better!

I'd love to see the print you make of that image; I'm sure there's quite a bit of detail in the shadows that didn't make it to the digital file.Thanks for the compliment btw! I'm glad I could save some of the highlights to the right. They were totally blown out in the digital proof that I made when composing this picture, but that's the nice thing about print film!

The clouds are really nice. Clouds can really make a photo if they're done "right." This just works in yours.

I've never seen Velvia so muted, was this just early light and not using a filter? Or was this something in the development?

Stone,, I think it was a combination of that plus the film I believe was out-dated when I bought it
