What did you compose at Waters Edge?

Boat at Alford Lake, Hope Maine. I usually try to avoid sharp detailed shapes (pine needles) with soft focus lenses as they fight against each other, but photography rules are made to be broken, and it contrasts with the smooth manmade shape of the boat, both in texture and tone.

8.75" verito, 4x5 speed graphic, tmy2 in pyrocat hd.

Thanks. I do not use soft-focus, but that is a interesting observation. And might explain why an image of mine with pine needles works so nicely -- a sharp negative of a sharp subject printed as a carbon print (appearent sharpness increased by the process).

Thanks Bob. That's really what I was aiming for with this. When I exposed it, it was all about the colour beneath the clouds however once developed and scanned I found the colour really detracted from the mood and intensity of the image.
