Lac Fourchu on a misty day. Near Taillefer moutain, Dauphiné, French Alps. Neopan 400. Fujica GS645W. Exposure data not recorded.

Apart from the picture submitted to the members' consideration, this was a test. Uploaded direct from my computer. And indeed, the displayed image (after clicking the thumbnail) has been reduced from 1280 (upload) to 750 (displayed) pixels wide.

@admins: that is not a request for a new fancy functionality. This display size limit (with maybe a reasonable file size) must be somewhere in the code or the parameters of the forum software. A couple of numbers to edit.

The page source shows that attached images are displayed in thumb mode (see below). I am not sure if the forum software supports to display attached images in non-thumb mode. If so, it's worth a try by the admin coz I cannot find any personal settings to make this happen.

I publish images BIG on Flickr, and then grab the URL of the specific size version I want to use here, and paste the URL into the "from URL" tab of the image post button. It isn't a particularly tedious additional step, and the result is (IMO) worth it. Mind you, I regard Flickr as the single most important window into my work, so I'm going to post to Flickr first and foremost. Posting (via URL linking) elsewhere isn't as important to me, but I know people like to see a larger image here than the default the forum allows, so that's what I do.
    I totally agree
