Thank you, John. The watercraft are two kayakers paddling at full clip. The shutter speed was set at 1/4 sec, so I know they would be smudged, but not how much.

Made recently with a Horseman45FA and 150mm Schneider lens.
On Rollei IR 400 with an R72 filter

On a 2 week trip to the Western Isles and knew on day one I would have to come back to the location every day until I knew I had got the shot!

Superb Horseman. Great composition, the river on the foreground is a key element.

Thank you so much Francis ! The first time I attempted it , I set the camera up with the scene looking like it did in the image and when I went to look at the ground glass , could not find the channel with my loupe....looked up and yes the tide had come in in about 5 minutes flat !

It was very key to the image so I packed up and went to look for something else !

Spectacular photograph. There are times when the Rollei IR film is ideally suited to a scene, and clearly this is one such instance. Kudos.

Bernard used a 14" Red Dot Apo Artar on 4x5 Tri-X. I usually bracket this kind of subject , the shutter speed readings (old Ilex) are unreliable: no notes were taken, 2 negs and this was the better one.
