It’s a slight swirling surface presence, probably contaminating, and probably my fault at loading or unloading.
It might also be the ghost of Captain Meriwether Lewis – the first White Man here at Lemhi Pass – his spirit consigned (condemned?) to forever roam the earth due to his suicide a few years later. :^(
Michael and David, thanks. I also posted these on the photo essay thread because they're part of a long-term project I have going on water quality in my region. It seems I'm using the big camera for a bit of documentary work. That has been enlightening for me since I work in photojournalism.
These were scanned with a borrowed 4990, but if I push the CHECK OUT button over at Amazon, I'll will have ordered a v750.

Pity about the scratches I didnt notice. All I did was scan at 150dpi with the film area guide so if I take the time to wet mount it one day it should be ok, and sharper too.
