    This one is exceptional. The flow within the frame is balanced and dynamic: the stones on the left hold the image and lead the eye inwards. Very beautiful place/photograph.

    I went on an excursion to this spot a couple of weeks before . On that occasion I only took an Olympus OM-1 camera, but when I saw this place I wanted to return with the large format camera.

    Large format pinhole - DIY 4x5 camera - on Fomapan 100 film. 20 sec exposure.
    From Arromanches - "Gold Beach" - Normandy.
    The black structures sticking up from the water are remainders of the Mulberry harbour system used here after D-Day.

    I still find it amazing that the Mulberry Harbour is still in once piece - at least parts of it are.
