Thanks David. The waves were too nice to consign them to whipped-cream or fog.
From memory this one was done at 1/8 second @ f90. The f90 is fine for 8x10 contacts because the inevitable image diffraction still leaves more detail than the eye can see. The hard part was timing the wave while balancing on a rock in front of the camera to shade the lens from direct sunlight.

8 seconds, f/22, lee polarizer, lee universal bellows lens hood
"scanned" on lightbox with D800E and 60f/2.8 AF-S micro, four shots stitched in CS6. Minor corrections in post included removing cyan cast from water (from polarizer) and darkening top right corner slightly.
