Scott, I'm sorry to report that the Dmax effort has deteriorated to the point where its cancellation is imminent. After a last ditch appeal for 10 advanced orders, we only garnered 4 bona-fide commitments and a handful of maybes.

It's not simply the camera itself... if we were to produce the Dmax, we would have to manufacture a large inventory of Cone Assemblies and allied components, in order to drive production costs down to the required level, and properly support the camera.

Closest we currently come to a Dmax, is our 69S camera, which I will be bringing to the upcoming gathering.

I'd like to make an event like this but I'll be in Salado TX. Feb. 21st. I'll keep my eye out for further events.

Valerie, what time works best for you? My original thought was starting early in the day to get some 'long' light, but I am pretty flexible. What times are best for all the other potential attendees?

I like early, too, but I'm willing to set aside whatever part of the day people can be available...

I just spoke to my son, and I can add his Crown Graphic to the list of available cameras, too, in case there are people who want to attend and learn but do not have a camera... that brings the number I can provide to 3: the Shen Hao and 2 Crowns, all with tripods, and lenses, of course. The Crowns aren't "real" 4x5s but they will give people a sense for it...

I'm up for early as well, but anytime that day would be fine.

And if someone has an extra tripod (or 2, or 3, or 4), I have 3 Toyo 45CX's that I could bring along, each with a different focal length lens. I also have an angle viewer to mate to one. So if we can gather some additional tripods, I can bring a total of (5) 4x5's.

Paul, I am looking forward to meeting you (and others).

    Especially your new 69S.

May I bring some 120 and shoot a roll or two??

I can bring two tripods and of course, some cameras and lenses. I will bring some brass soft focus lenses too.
