Thank you. It was challenging working (visually and logistically) with such a large camera in such a crowded space. Taken during an 'open house' of the facilities by the local heritage group. Long exposure (not a lot of light and closed-down lens) so the few other people walking in front of the camera never showed -- though I had to quickly cover the lens when someone took a photo with their P&S digital camera w/ flash in my direction. Kinda of fun using a camera that was about the same vintage as the machines in the roundhouse!
Here is my attempt.
This image was taken from a spot not accessible to the public on the South Devon Railway which runs a Heratige Railway between Buckfastleigh and Totnes in Devon.
It was taken on my Canham MQC 5x7 with a Schneider 210mm f5.6 Apo-Symmar. The film used was Arista EDU 100 and the exposure was 1/30 sec at f13. The film was processed for 9 minutes in Pyrocat HD at 24 degrees Centigrade.
I made a few errors with this image that will be remedied when I attempt it again. First thing was to buy some HP5+ as it's the only film in 5x7 thats faster than ISO 100

I revisited the spot on the South Devon Railway where I took the above image to try to make a better effort of the shot above.
I used Ilford HP5+ film which I have never been a fan of but it was the only ISO400 film I could find in 5"x7" (have since bought the only 3 boxes of Foma 400 left in Europe if not the World).
A few changes, I had adjusted my position slightly to give more space around the power pole and the lineman's hut, the Pannier Tank 6430 was connected to an AutoCoach W225 (you will need to visit my Flickr if you want to know what that is (if you don't already), the faster film allowed a faster shutter speed although not by much (1/125th Second) as the weather was very overcast for the first image, better for the second allowing 1/250th second.
