I wish that building didn't have a tree in front of it.

    Re: Large Format Landscapes

I decided to challenge myself and try doing something that I haven't tried before – photographing landscapes. This is one image of the 12 that I've processed so far that I feel is at least good enough to share. Good landscape images are not easy and I have great respect for people that make incredible landscape images. I hope to get better with practice...

    Wow that's fantastic!

Was that light painted? The exposure is excellent!

Thanks gents. This one is growing on me. I'll be very honest and say that the "darkroom" post process took me quite a few hours before I was happy with it. The image was busy with no real focal point so it took a fair amount of dodging/burning to get it to a place that I was happy with it.

    Does "darkroom" equal PS?

Yes, it does. My self imposed rule for PS is that I don't do anything that couldn't be done in the traditional darkroom. Nothing is moved, added or taken away. I use the dodge, burn and simple contrast adjustments to try to get what I'm after.
