Very well done! Lovely image! Funny thing...when I looked at the image and saw the horizon almost bisecting the circle, I thought "Is it half empty, or half full?" Makes little sense, but that is what went through my brain -- call it a brain fart!

I have no idea what happened to the original poster, perhaps he found that LF was not he expected, but personally I find this thread one of the most interesting, and inspiring one going.
Also, to be honest, a bit intimidating, as the quality of the images here are awesome, in my humble opinion, that is, but it doesn't turn me off, it makes me want to try harder!

    Ken,

I agree with Jim, but it's such a beautiful photograph otherwise. What if you photoshopped the limb out? I don't think anyone would notice. I really think it's worth a try before you throw it into the duds collection.

I know. I'm being sacrilegious or so a good friend says I am. To me photography is an art form, not a true representation of reality.

Triple score Mr Rooster! I like the skewed perspective and the contrail/cloud in the upper left is very well seen

I agree with you about fiddling with photos.

So here's a version without the branch. Thank you for your encouragement. How does this one look ?
