Steve, this camera has tilt or any movement for lens or back standards. I don't remember what the distance from lens to film plane is. As the camera has a GG, I made some tests to have the lens focused to about 10 feet. This lens is equivalente to a 12mm lens, on 35mm format, it has a 120º angle so, it has a enormous DOF even at f11. I shoot, usually at f16 or f22 so, I don't bother about the distance to first plane, if it isn't at less than 3 feet.
This is the perfect camera for me. I shoot a lot coastal images, during winter, many times, I have to run fast from waves so, this camera, as it has an external viewfinder, let me run between waves, put the tripod on place, compose, shoot and run away, stil dry!
