mrladewig, your fall colours are soft, subtle, and wondrous.

A recent image, captured on April Fool's Day, while out and about just before sunset, and just before I got soaked.

    Dear Chris,

I do not use filtration, but I do emphasize areas of my images while I print, where I tend to bring a Zone 4 down to Zone 3, since I taught myself to expose each negative effectively with that intent. Although, I found a yellow-orange Rodenstock K15 filter in the storage closet last weekend, where I exposed two negatives with that filter strapped to the back of my 210XL on Sunday. I expect to see a wee bit more separation in the clouds' highlights when I print, because the blue sky will deepen to a darker level, and whether I like the result shall be seen, compared to my normal routine of printing down from Zone 4 to Zone 3.

    Dear Eugene and Nana,

    Thank you for your comments...

I am a firm believer that every once in a while, you get to be at the right spot, at the right time, and you have one negative left in your backpack.

    Again, thank you.

I thought it was the Durdle Door. Did you have to pay for the privilege of taking the picture? When we were there a few years ago there were folks quite concerned to make "proffesional" photographers pay for the opportunity. I was just carrying a Nikon. I can image them slavering after the chance to hassle someone loaded down with LF gear.

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for the reply. Many of your images have impressive sky/cloud detail and separation which I really enjoy, I love the drama of weather. However you get from neg to print it is clearly working.

    Best,

    Chris.

    Thanks Jim.

I've been admiring your recent contributions too. I should have been more vocal in expressing my appreciation but as you were already getting a lot of positive feedback I didn't want your head to get too big ... :-)

    Cheers
