One more taken from last winter in Zion. Again, Ebony 8x10 with the Fuji 300 5.6. Some mud and reflections taken one afternoon with the light reflecting off the canyon walls. Jim

Fantastic images Jim. The Fall scene reminds a bit of Nathan Farb who found his identity in NY's Adirondacks.

I seldom effuse, but that stuff is not too shabby man.

Here are a couple of 8x10 shots from this past fall. Both shot with an Ebony 8x10 with a Fuji 300 5.6. The first is a small lake in northern WI and the second is an image from the Superior shoreline in MN. The sunrise image had a neutral density filter to lengthen the time exposure to somewhere around 2 minutes. And instead of using a graduated neutral density filter to balance out the sky in both images, I have been using my darkslide as a "dodging" tool. I moved the dark slide slightly up and down over the sky area for the duration of the exposure and it seemed to work fairly well. Jim

Taken last October on a week trip to Skye. Bands of clouds were blowing across in strong winds, so the lighting was constantly changing. Taken on FP4 with an Orange Filter on a Wista DX. You can see some hikers on the path for a sense of scale.

Here are two more from this past fall. The first is one from a small lake in WI that has some of the most stunning lily pads. I've only seen and photographed them in the fall, but I hope to make it up there sometime this summer for a different look. At sunset, the lighting on the lily pads after a light rain was quite nice. The second image is from the Pictured Rocks National Seashore area in the UP. Both images taken with an 8x10 and the trusty and very sharp Fuji 300 5.6. I printed the lily pad one at 36x45 to hang on one of my walls. Every water drop is so clearly visible. I am a sucker for this kind of image where I tend to get lost in the detail. Jim
