[QUOTE=Robert Langham;1018210]Shiprock from the West side looking over the West Dike. Bought a Nikon 450 just to shoot this shot but haven't ever printed it before. Right now I have it about 10X6 on a piece of 11X14. Might try it larger. Fairly easy to print, though I keep in mind I can always be fooled....
Splendid composition. As shown here the tonal range appears too compressed for me. Robert, is this a scanned silver print?
I see you enjoy working this rock since it permeates your work. Have you ever visited the Spanish Peaks just south of Blanca peak in southern CO? There are very similar dikes running toward the west peak and partway up the base of the mountain on the north and west sides south of La Veta. You can see these fairly clearly on the Google Earth image.

Image of the south face of Mt. Robson from the Robson river bed shortly before everything got drenched during a fast moving thunderstorm. This along the trail to Berg lake. The south face is about 10,000 ft. base to summit and is a climbing tour de force.
