    Re: Large Format Landscapes

I went out with my camera to take some photos of this winters first snow. Another storm was moving into the mountains, blocking the view, but I kind of like it.

Taken with a Zone VI 4x5 Large Format camera and a Kodak Ektar 203mm F7.7 lens. Shot on Foma 200 film rated at 120 ISO and developed using Pyrocat MC for 8.5 minutes.

Thanks for the critique, if I had waited any longer the horse would have become no horse at all, they meandered away shortly after. In fact they moved once and I had to reposition, I was closer to them before the first move. Really wish I had the 600mm at the time. I think overall the horses that are horses tell you what the other one might be

But I certainly appreciate the reminder, this was only my second time shooting horses and my first time shooting horses would large-format so good to keep in mind.

    I'll second that comment.
Robert, I already told you: you have to make it a book. Your Shiprock portfolio deserves exposure!!

    One more from yesterday.

Same as above, Zone VI 4x5, Kodak Ektar 203mm F7.7, minus blue filter, Foma 200 at 125, F32 at 1/50th, developed in Pyrocat MC for 8.5 minutes.

I have two soft spots. One is waterfalls and the other is seemingly abandoned homesteads and farms. How did it happen? What drew the residents initially, what lead to the demise??? I'm sure there many stories.
