    Question Minolta light meter tip

I have aquired a second hand Minolta Flash Meter II. It is some 20 years old, but seems to be OK.

The manual states that several types of discs and domes can be used. It seems that these were the same for the flash meters and the auto meters over a wide range of models (II, III, IV, V .. ) from Minolta. Reflected metering should be done with a "reflected-light attachement" , hm, attached. From the pictures this seems to only be a disc with a hole to narrow the meters field of view.

    1. Can anyone tell me the size (diameter) of this hole, in case I would manufacture one myself?
    2. Can the meter be used for reflected metering without the attachment? The metering angle would be bigger. When the attachment is used, exposure should be reduced by 3 stops. How much should the reading be corrected if no attachement is present?
    3. Does anyone have domes or attachments for these meters that they don't use anymore, and are willing to hand over to me at a sensible price (meter broken, perhaps)? I have a dome marked +2EV for use in very bright light. I am interested in the "ordinary" dome (spherical diffuser) and the reflected-metering attachment. The flat diffusor and the 10 degrees viewfinder also look interesting.
    4. Any experience or hands on reports from using this meter?

    Have a nice day!

    Yep that's the attachment.

I have one, too (the disc, not the II meter). Just a hole in a piece of plastic.

Sorry I can't give it up 'cause I still use it from time to time.

Thank you, Walter. Can you tell me the diameter of the hole? Do you know if reflected metering can be done without the disc, and how that would affect the need for recalculation of the meter readout (+ or -)?
