You're going to make a mess!

Wet mounting on the V750 works best with 5x7 or smaller, because the sweet spot of the scanner is 5x7. The other advantage is you get to use Epson's wet mount tray designed for the sweet stop. The mess stays in the tray, not all over the scanner glass.

If I were to wet mount an 8x10 on a v750, I try to make a tray like the 5x7 tray that comes with the scanner. Get a piece of glass the same thickness as the 5x7 tray, ideally large enough so you can glue or epoxy a dam around the edge of the glass. The damn should prevent the wet mount fluid from pouring out onto the scanner, but low enough not to interfere with the scanner's lid from closing all the way.

I'm surprised Better Scanning hasn't made something like this. Hint, hint.
