Re: Making your own E-6 from raw chemicals

Could someone please tell me of a readily available supply of CD3 here in the USA for the E-6 color reversal process? I suppose I can get most of my chemicals but the place I bought my CD3 and citrizinic acid went belly up (and the last time I bought it was hard to find someone who would deal in small quantities) and I don't need a ton of it. If you have your own kilogram(s) perhaps you'd like to sell some of your lot to me. Alternatively, perhaps a few of you would like to chip in to buy us a container and we could split it?
PS: Why does a search for CD-3 (CD3) come up with only two hits in the forum!?

I believe you can get CD3 at Photographers Formulary.

I have used and worked with "toxic" chemicals all my life, with children in the home, and I have never had a problem with it. When I had a home darkroom, it was behind a door that could be shut and locked (a room in the garage) and the children did not go there.

Hmm, searched with and without hyphen as well as 4-(N-Ethyl-N-2-Methane Sulfonylamino Ethyl)-2-Phenylene Diamine but don't see it come up. Tried "reversal" but get kits. I think this lead comes up blank. Very interesting site though, thank you.

If you go to the PF site, click store, click bulk chemicals you get CD-2 and CD-4 but no CD-3. Will have to keep looking for a url for this.

Hello to everyone, I see this conversation ended 1n 2009! I found all the ingredients at B&H and Ebay except two: Citrazinic acid and CD3. I see other members had the same problem. I would be very thankful if you provide me the alternative names of them so I can find them. Thanks for sharing this useful information. Greetings from Perú.
