I have a guy (friend) that wants to buy my mint Schneider 360mm Symmar-s lens. Do any of you have a ballpark price I could ask? (bough in late 80s, but hardly used)
Thanks in advance.

Consider searching for past and presents sales at eBay - using the search terms symmar-s 360mm, two current sales are found.
This is retail; private sales will be less:

They are super good paper weights. :-) (the shutter is sometimes worth more without the lens elements screwed in to it.) K
According to my data chart this lens has one of the largest image circles going at 491mm. Assuming it is multi-coated it would have probably been near the £2,000 mark when purchased new. In UK this would sell for about £850 on the used market. Hope this helps.
I would have thought more like £400/$900 tops. As pointed out this is a large heavy lens best suited for studio applications. The demand for this kind of lens is relatively low compared to the numerous examples available on the used market. All this conspires to peg the value back somewhat.
