Mission San Carlos Borromeo del Rio Carmelo in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA.

The big tree on the left didn't seem so imposing on the GG (80SSXL):

Main courtyard (and I'm learning how to use my new Lee folding hood correctly with wide angles, as you can tell), Schneider APO-Symmar 120, light red filter:

The cemetery next to the basilica, Zeiss Jena Tessar 165/3.5:

And the interior, or "don't get cute with lateral shift and an 80SSXL without bag bellows":

All Ilford FP4+ and an Ebony 45SU.

I seem to have gotten developer streaks on the long edges. This was with a Jobo CPE-2 and the 4x5 tank. Is there any way to avoid this?

Church in Rethwisch - parts of it were built in the 14th century.

    Attachment 39313

I made some mistakes (got ugly marks near the border probably by bending the negatives in the loading-unloading-process too much) but overall I'm quite happy with this shot.
I will re-shoot this scene in a month or so and will compensate for converging verticals a bit more - I was afraid to get a too much „stretched“ look this time.

    Arca Swiss 4x5, Schneider 72XL without Center-Filter, f about 22, 1/4 sec., expired APX100, Rodinal 1:100, 1hr stand-development

This is Tumacacori Mission and Tumacacori National Historic Park just south of Tuscon, Arizona. This mission is photographed a lot You may have seen it on this forum before. For many years, I used an 8 X 10 Deardorff. I eventually sold the camera, sold a used BMW car and a few other miscellaneous photographic odds and ends before I got enough money to buy an 8 X 10 Arca Swiss. This was was my first shoot using the new camera.

I made this picture in 2007 with a Schneider 150 XL lens. I used HP5 film and tray developed it in PMK Pyro. Thanks for looking.

Thank you George. It does look better bigger. With a little help I got it figured out.

This is amazing. The clarity and resolution of the photograph puts me there. I think the fans give the ceiling scale. It looks huge
