Vaughn - The Yosemite photo was taken after a big tour group hopped back onto their bus. There were a lot of curious onlookers and I did get some questions from the tour guide. It was really nice to get all the space to myself for a brief moment, after everyone left. Attached is a digital shot right before I took the LF shot.

    Wally - I used Provia 100F.

Oh, Belle! That is the shot you should have gotten with the 8x10! Talk about a true "Sense of Place"! Love it!

Vaughn - I wish I had the dexterity to pull it off. I hope I'll get there soon.

I did make one attempt at taking photos with people in it. Unfortunately, I used an old, outdated Kodak Ektachrome 100 from the person I purchased some of my equipment from (I won't do that again). The photo has a brownish cast to it. Shot with 8x10 Deardorff, Rodenstock 240mm, f/45 @ 1/2 sec.

Here is the one I took along the trail to Lower Yosemite Falls.

    Scanned 8x10 carbon print.

Sorry I can't post it directly.

Beautiful work, Vaughn. Carbon printing is a process I'd love to learn more about. It's also one of the things that make me wish I had more room than a studio apartment.

Mojave Desert Bank. It had a 70ish look about it. It was extremely windy which help me capture the flag nicely. Shot with Deardorff 8x10, 240mm Rodenstock, f/22 @ 1/30 sec, Fujichrome, Provia 100F.
