    Steve and Allen, thanks. I'm very amateur on landscape and don't yet know whether to go for HDR (I am not a cloudie) or stick with no-problem B&W.
    What I did learn, doing Genoa , is that if you are shooting cityscape in first light, you need to do it in the winter. It is hard to get a janitor to open up and take you to the roof at 5am in the summer.
