Using Cambo 5x4 Rail with Manfrotto Tripod

I realize I should be using a bigger tripod - but this is the one I currently have so have to make do. However I am struggling to fix the camera firmly to the tripod head. Have attached a couple of pics - the plate just seems very loose when 'locked' into the tripod head. Any advice on more secure methods.
Apologies if this is stupid question - but I am truly stuck!

First, IMO, forget this Manfrotto quick release system. It can hold a MF camera, but it is not solid enough to firmly hold a (rather heavy) monorail camera. I prefer to use the Linhof Quickfix II QR attachments, bolted on a Gitzo G-1570 M low profile head. The plate is long enough to fix two of them. (My camera has 2 3/8" threads).
You can also use a Manfrotto long lens camera support Ref. 359 as an accessory support.

Thanks- I am actually just attaching the rail directly to the tripod at the moment - I will check out the Linhof and Gitzo attachments.

I use http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...k_Release.html mith my 3030 and my cambo SC2. There is a little wiggle in it but i have found it sturdy enough to work with.
