    Steve,
Very powerful images! I love the Mesa Arch one! Could you tell me where exactly that is located? I would love to see it in person.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks to both of you for your kinds words.

Without question, Utah is my Point Lobos

Mesa Arch is in the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands Nat. Park. See http://www.nps.gov/cany/planyourvisi...ndinthesky.htm

Not only is Mesa Arch inspirational, there are many overviews from the rim road. Some day I hope to traverse the entire 100 miles on the White Rim trail which is about 1200 feet below the flat lands above.

    Cheers

Beautiful work Steve! Really like your interpretation of mesa arch - well done I think. I live nearby and visit mesa arch and the Utah hot spots frequently with dozens of shots of the arch, but I haven't taken any b/w that comes close to this beautiful shot. My compliments!
    regards

    Arch Focusing Technique

For your arch shot, I especially like your technique of "focusing on a point in mid air about 18 Ft. beyond the edge of arch". My hat is off to you, sir. I know I have a hard enough time focusing on real things in that kind of light!
