    Hi David,

Since we don't know where you live, that statement is rather meaningless.

You might add your location to your profile so it appears in every post. Just a suggestion.

If you believe you can, or you believe you can't... you're right.

The wall behind the altar is not a semi-circle on top of straight lines; it's actually a subtle parabola.
By the way, Christopher, your website is truly outstanding!
Oh.. now that's interesting! And thanks for your kind words.

Your memory and notes are almost correct. It is Elizabethtown, NM. South of Taos.

    Thanks Bernard_L for your compliment.

Actually no filter was used according to my notes.
The exposure was f22/32 @1/10 sec / no filter.
The values that should have been falling on Zone 6 were falling on Zone 8.
Film developed N-2 -this helped bring down the sky as well.
The negative was scanned and the image processed in PS.
Curves control (darken) the sky somewhat. Curves with luminosity masks control the shadow areas.
The midtone contrast of the large flat wall was also boosted.
PS is an important tool for processing this image. The same results cannot be achieved without great difficulty in a traditional wet print.

Thank you, Alan Curtis - as they say "Close, but no cigar"

    I've corrected my notes !
It's been years since I was there, but now I'll be able to get back (should I try).
I know just enough to be dangerous !

This is great! Was the doorway illuminated, or did you handle that in post? Love the tones, the graphic letters and doors.
