    That's because it is hosted on flickr. They apply very course sharpening to every image.

    I am looking into SmugMug for exactly that reason; Flickr's over-sharpening has been driving me nuts lately.

    Thanks for your comment, Simon. It was late afternoon, good light indeed.
    I'm not sure if what your seeing is over-sharpening or over-clariting but is a fair point. I will try a little less next time.

    as an image for an 'architectural magazine' etc etc, it's pretty stunning, cannot fault it
