I'm not sure whether to classify this one as architectural or scenic. It's a heavily front-tilted shot of the fountain staircase at Maymont in Richmond, VA. They switch off the water during the winter so that the pipes don't freeze, though that isn't much of a concern with the mild winter we've had this year.

Now just watch; I've gone and jinxed us into a 2-foot blizzard nor'easter.

Historic Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR. Built around 1925. It was extraordinarily dim in there, not that you can tell from the photo. The exposure was 8 minutes.

Neat location. Is this also with the 90mm? Maybe it's just the curved pipe on the left, but this one feels rather fishy-eyed.

It was a really neat place and I was lucky to get a chance to shoot in there.

The second image was made with the 90mm also (the widest I've got) but it was such a small cramped space that I had to tilt the camera upwards rather than raise the front standard which, in the Toyo, doesn't give you much adjustment anyway.

I think the vent pipe IS curved a bit in reality; the low shooting angle only makes it worse.

EDIT: I really like the stairs/fountain by the way. What film did you use?

FP4+ in Xtol 1:1, which is my usual combination. I've spent the time to figure out my ISO speed and various development times, and can't see a reason to mess with anything else. I've often wished for more speed for photographing my kids, but don't really want to spend the additional money and time shifting to TMY. It might vanish one of these days anyway.

    Re: post your Architecture photographs!

This is, really, the first architecture photo I've done, and just looking for some feedback, tips, whatever. I know that I need to get those verticals vertical, and work on my focus; anything else that is critical here?

This was just a test, of sorts - I got to the house later than I planned, and the light had already started to fade on me (you can see the shadows of other houses on the first floor section). I was also looking to see what lens to use (90mm or 150mm - the 150mm is what I used here).

    Thanks!

@dperez, That first one, The Woelke-Stoffel House, is incredible! The light looks great, and of course the house itself is so neat! I love that the tower is so narrow.
