Nice Jiri, great way to show the power of the 5x8 format (of course the results are great) Thanks for sharing.

Nice one Jiri..!
Very nice Jiri,
Jiri,
I'm glad you took the time. It's nice to see a picture of the guy who's work is so damn good.

Agree, nice to see you Jiri.

I like the pair of images. It's interesting seeing the setup and the final shot--and the final shot is beautiful. Only downside is it makes me want a Chamonix 5x8.
Me on a chilly day at my local spot in Colorado with my 11x14 Gundlach.
Thanks guys, but here the praise should go to my wife... she managed to get a decent shot of me and also the target of my concentration
As to your wanting a Chamonix 5x8 camera, well for example when I see Erik's Gundlach 11x14, I want a camera this large also. It would be a joy just to look at the groundglass, let alone on the processed negative, the details, the clarity, the tonality. The Chamonix is not a perfect camera, but is reasonably close. For me, it should have been larger (that is, for larger format size). But it's better to be content with the tools at hand - if they work well for their purpose. I have now forced myself to stop looking in the FS section here, to stop going through photographic section on eBay. Because anytime I look there, I see something I want, or worse, something I need.
(But on the other hand, I have never made so good photos with my Pentax 6x7cm, when that was the best tool at my hand. Not a single one...)

My books @ Blurb (only heavily outdated "Serene Landscape").
Shen-Hao 4x5 with 300mm 5.6 Schneider which is a ridiculously large\heavy lens for this camera. It's like a big fishbowl hanging off a miniature diving board. I guess it worked, though.

Me and my Ebony SV45ti, and the result (I think, i made quite a few images on this occasion and i'm not sure that this is the right one... )
