At Birch Point Beach state park in Owls Head Maine yesterday. Pix to follow soon in the appropriate thread. pre-anniversary speed graphic, reinhold wollaston lens, marchionni tiltall tripod. sled also has surveying tripod, B&J 8x10 (with kodak 305 portrait), pelican case of film holders.

Ken Lee; this is the beach I showed you when you were up this way last fall. Looks a little different under snow.

Those KMVs are nice rugged cameras. Compact and heavy.

Like I said when I was there: wow ! A tremendously beautiful place. So pure. And to think you have it all to yourself much of the time: very good fortune indeed.

Everyone says they are heavy but I don't think so. About the same as a Deardorff. Maybe the Chamonix and Shen-hao's are lighter? The KMV is definitely rugged, though. I think of it as an improved Deardorff; metal instead of wood, front shift, more rise/fall, quick focusing.

I never thought it was heavy when I owned one, and that was before I bought the Toyo 810M.
