    Whats the scoop on Foma??

The Apehuggers have posted that Foma is temporarily halting production to upgrade their machinery. Supposedly no deliveries over the Summer Does anyone here have any additional information?

    hi john

i'm not sure if it is foma, but one of the film makers in that part of the world used
to close down in the summer because the factory did not have a/c ..
it is great news if they are upgrading machinery!

capital improvements are always a good thing

Very unlikely to be Foma's case - the a/c issue, that is.

I think the a/c issue was Efke, which is in a warmer, more humid climate.

    Jiri,

Can you call Foma and ask them what is going on?

I read on APUG that Simon Gallery of Ilford had contacted FOMA and that they are actually shutting down for about 2 weeks to do a deep cleaning of machinery, similar to what Ilford does once a year.
