    Looking for a next step.

Retirement approaching, I'm looking to see if I can sell any stuff via the Wonderful World Wide Web.

So, <big gulp>, I've deleted a lot of crud out of my photo page, and -->>THIS<<-- is what's left. It still has a few problems, mainly the Adobe generated 'suggestion box' stuff (which gets confused by frames), but I wanted to keep the navigation easy.

I'm considering really sweating and turning it into a true buy-it-here page with a shopping cart, paypal and all that, but ... frankly, being somewhat of a recluse I don't know if any of it's marketable. It's black and white and none of it would make good over-the-couch stuff, so I expect that no dealer would touch it - hence self-marketing.

Anyway, I'm looking for some suggestions either way: 1) keep practicing and don't waste your money, or 2) go for it.

I would change the blue background to black or something else dark grey.

I'm always turned off by a title page that tells me I'm going to see "fine art" photography. If the photography is fine art the photographs will speak for themselves. And if it isn't then it doesn't matter how loudly the photographer proclaims that it is. Basically I think it's amateurish. I have a hard time picturing Robert Frank's "The Americans" with a sub-title "Fine Art Photography" (just to pick one example of many that could be given).

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you do criticize them you'll be
a mile away and you'll have their shoes.

Thanks. I'll call it something else, or just get rid of the title.
