I shouldn't really like this, but it sits at the back of my brain and niggles.

Perhaps my favorite for simplicity, form and felicity in finding it
Or maybe this because it makes me feel like I once read a book about composition and took it too seriously
I know neither are masterpieces, but in the infancy of my foray into large format photography they have given me pleasure.

I guess I pretty much live in the present although looking back through the pile of pics it's hard to pick. I just printed this portfolio of pictures for the fellow that owns this car and must say, mounted in a sea of museum rag white this 7X11 is breathtaking (imho of course).

Done with the Eastman 7X11 on Kodak Panatomic X aerial recon film with an 18" Verito. It just doesn't get much better. Five minutes from now I'll think of 10 others I should have posted. Life is good. I'm thankful.
Ask on a different day, you'll likely get a different answer. But today is today...
"I love my Verito lens, but I always have to sharpen everything in Photoshop..."

This one has a lot of nostalgia. It was the first time I discovered I wouldn't melt if I got absolutely soaked working in the rain.
John, I really appreciate your style. Interesting, thoughtful, complex and mysterious are a few descriptors that come to mind. Have you ever thought of trying ambrotypes? It seems to me that your style of photography and the feel of wetplate would go hand in hand. Just my two cents and in this economy it's not even worth that.
