Why is it that I have rarely seen an image of a tree that I do not like, it has to be the one subject matter above all else that resonates no matter who takes the photograph??
Taking your comment as a challenge, maybe I can treat you to one of those rarities. Here's a shot of a tree that even I don't like, and I shot the picture. The wind was howling and I was trying to contrast the moving leaves and branches with the rock solid tree trunk. I should've given it a longer exposure perhaps.
I don't recall the details, but it was probably a couple of seconds. Acros/xtol 1:1
Sorry Peter but I love this shot so you need to try harder to make a lousy image. If this was printed duotone gum and retained the trees lovely pattern you would cry.
Thanks Bob, you're too kind. I don't have any doubt that you could make the image really sing with an alternative technique.
