I wonder if a bit cropped of the top would help as I find the bright area in the split of the main tree trunk a bit distracting.

Hand colored, that's awesome, so this was shot on black-and-white film? Is there a certain kind of black-and-white films that you prefer when you're doing hand coloring in post, and also do you expose the image normally, or perhaps overexpose so that you have more white to paint over? I'm very curious this is really quite neat and beautiful
