Thread: post your trees!

    Re: post your trees!

After these brilliant images, it's hard to make anything more than a modest contribution...
Still trying out my Norma, so here's one from Zagreb's largest park Maksimir (could be translated as "maximum peace"). Some city dwellers call it "the endless forest". Kind of like the early morning color cast. Provia 100 4x5, Rodagon 150mm, no shutter, drum scanned and slightly cropped.

I'd like to see that much larger. On a monitor and in that small size, it has a very crispy, massively oversharpened look to me.

Thanks for the kind comments all. That was my first day shooting LF. Really like Efke and am bummed it's going away. Got a decent stash though....

As for the "over-sharpened" look it does look over-sharpened on my work monitor (cheap Dell) but on my 27 inch iMac at home, my iPhone 4S with retina screen and my iPad 3 it looks perfect.

I agree... the sharpness is perfect, very fitting with the subject and tonal range.
