    2nd outing with 4x5:
Out of 14 negs, this one was one of the only useable ones...
everything else had too much flare or some other abberation...

It was a learning experience to say the least...
I learned that I have a long long way to go... in composition, sharpness, developing, scanning...

The road is heading Eastward, where rain tapers off, trees thin-out, and the landscape quickly flattens into a vast, dry desert.

Thanks Sam, and the kind of beauty that does the hard work for you. Yet I recall that moving my tripod just a few inches, this way or that, made a difference to the sense of receding depth of this valley, near and far. BTW, from here on a bicycle, you could coast down this valley and arrive in Washington’s Eastern desert w/o pedaling once…

Out for a walk Sunday morning and could not pass up a couple of trees.
One is a River Birch near the center of Charlotte, NC along the greenway.
The other is a Crepe Myrtle with early morning sun in Freedom Park.
Camera – Super Graflex with 127mm lens
Film – Delta 100 with DDX
