Hi Steve,
fortunately we've had a good amount of rain lately, but the areas that were burnt earlier this year will be potentially bad again when the next fire season starts next month. Hopefully we'll receive a lot more rain in those areas.
I may be going to Mt Feathertop sometime later this month or early next month with one of the members of the APUG group. With luck, I won't do what our water minister did. Fall down and get lost.

Lets just say a photographer my age and dynamic level of fitness would not have even survived the walk out of the car park let alone the fall down the cliff in sub zero snow conditions. Feathertop looks more like something I would have attempted 30 years ago --- maybe !!

Gary wants to do an overnighter, so I'll be carrying all the 8x10 gear (about 30 kg) plus food, plus sleeping bag, tent, etc. I think I need a slave to carry it for me. Any volunteers?
