    Christopher, I really ike this image. You could perhaps call it,"Out of chaos comes order", because you've got the tangle of leaves with that wonderful shaft coming out of it.

    Thank you, Jody! I got very lucky with the weather last weekend. Believe it or not, that's only 30 minutes from Los Angeles in the land of bald, featureless skies. We get weather with good clouds only 15 or 20 days a year.

    Larches in autumn.

    Come winter, these deciduous pines, naked & encrusted with lichens, look quite dead.

    Come spring, their resurrected green needles are glorious.

    Come summer, it’s just another pine tree.
