Definitely lovely images, and trees. Is the California Black Oak a deciduous tree or does not hold on to its leaves all year as some of the live oaks do here in the south?

Sandy, the Black Oaks that I've shot for years in Yosemite Valley turn a beautiful golden color in the fall and shed their leaves. They look great in the winter covered in snow and in the spring the new green growth is something to see. I would love to see the oaks in South Carolina, photograph them, pay you a visit and talk carbon transfer. Hopefully I can do that at some time during my retirement. So much to see and do.

Here's a yew tree on the other side of the planet. Still testing that blue-sensitive x-ray film; I'm starting to get the hang of it. Exposed liberally at ISO 50; it could have done with even a little more, but I find it hard to judge the contrast in the blue channel using just my eyes.
