What's the difference between these two - is it just the wet mount setup?

The 750 pro is supposed to have coated optics:
This should lessen internal flair, but I have never seen side by side tests to demonstrate this. With amazing 6400 dpi resolution, this powerful performer consistently delivers precision color and detail. An enhanced optical system (High-Pass Optics) consisting of anti-reflective lens coatings and a high-reflection mirror provides the highest level of image quality and helps you achieve faster scans. In addition, the Dual Lens System from Epson optimizes each scan, automatically selecting from two lenses for the desired scan resolution.

Also a better software package with the V750.

Silverfast SE vs. SF AI6 and Monaco profiling

What Kirk said.
Here is the combination I like, SF AI Studio with SF IT8 profiling. The Monaco works good but the SF profiling is better, but the profiling only affects transparency scanning not color negative or b&w which have their own icc profiles which are close but require some tweaking. For example the icc profile for Fuji 160 Pro is too magenta in the blues so I have to tweak it and resave it.
