NegaFix and film for which there is is no NegaFix profile

If one is using Silverfast, it is easy enough to plug in the info for NegaFix, it's another to understand what it actually does.

I'm looking for enlightenment on that question

Also, enlightenment on how to proceed if there is no NegaFix profile, e.g. Delta 3200.

Can't be of any help at all, but I do know it's fun to cross-dress scans in different negafix profiles and see what you get as it often results in useful global adjustments. In fact, I bet less than half my scans are made in the technically correct profile.
