Punker, thanks I do enjoy Ektar. I plan to do some portraits with it, although for some it has the reputation of "not a portrait film". There is portrait work on Ektar I have seen and like it a lot.
I picked this orchid up at Trader Joe's the other day for 13 bucks. Shot it in the studio yesterday with the 8x10 on Fuji Acros. I've just started souping that stuff in PyrocatMC, which I'm digging. I don't think it's hugely better than XTol, but I do like the greater acutance and grain suppression. Don't love the loss of a stop of film speed. Always learning!
