Here are two images of a bowl thistle. Fairly common around here. Not my favorite photos.. but I think its a start.
These are taken with two different lenses. the first, a 240mm G-Claron. The second, a 215mm f6.3 Ilex Acuton (modified for soft focus). They share a shutter.
I bought the Ilex mainly for the shutter, but then I was left with some extra lens cells I did not know what to do with. I tried the Acutar but it was not as good as my other lenses of that length. So I tried modifying it and this is what I ended up with. Hope you like.
Ken, ..... You and your daffodils! They are exquisite! You should write a book just on shooting daffodils!
BTW Daffodils are long gone down here. Irises just about over, too.
