Interesting... what does bleaching in very hot ammonia accomplish?

8x10 cyanotype on unknown watercolour paper, bleached in very hot ammonia. The petals in the actual print have got a beautifully subtle pink hue, but I'm afraid I have not managed to reproduce that in the scan.

Thanks Hugo The poppy reserves are north of Los Angeles, in Lancaster I believe. I'm not sure how much longer the flowers will be there, I hear they come and go very quickly, it's been several weeks now, I bet they are mostly gone by now More info here: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=627 There are some interesting fences and things out there, and I believe we saw a flock of sheep. A nice place to go, if you like wide open areas. Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I forgot that I posted in this thread.
